Maintaining the highest water quality standards for the greater Oxnard basin is the overall mission of the City of Oxnard Water Resources Division - Wastewater. With approximately 225,000 customers from the City of Oxnard, City of Port Hueneme and Naval Base Ventura County, the Water Resources Division - Wastewater’s primary responsibility is to collect, treat and dispose of wastewater while safeguarding public health and protecting the environment.

The City of Oxnard Water Resources Division - Wastewater (Water Resources Division - Wastewater) maintains state-of-the art infrastructure, including the Oxnard Wastewater Treatment Plant (OWTP), Headworks Facility, 15 active lift-stations and a 400-mile wastewater collections system. The operation and treatment of incoming wastewater is separated into five programs, including Wastewater Operations, Wastewater Collections System, Wastewater System Maintenance/Upgrades, Technical Services, and Environmental Health and Safety Compliance.
