Construction is a significant part of the Headworks and Redwood Trunk Sewer Projects. Although this part of the project is expected to be an inconvenience, the City of Oxnard Wastewater Division is making every effort to minimize impacts to residents, businesses and all motorists traveling through the city. Construction is set to commence in May of 2004 with a projected completion date of July 2005. It will include the construction of a new Headworks Facility, located near the Wastewater Division on Perkins Road.

To reduce long-term impacts and expedite the Redwood Trunk Sewer portion of the project, construction will be divided into four segments and constructed simultaneously.

Segment 1:  March 2004

• Begins at the Headworks Facility
• Runs north on J Street
• West on Redwood Avenue to Ventura Road
• North on Ventura Road to Hemlock Street

Segment 2:  March 2004

• Runs north on Ventura Road from Hemlock Street to Doris Avenue

Segment 3:  March 2004

• Runs west on Hemlock Street from Ventura Road to Victoria Avenue

Segment 4:  March 2004

• Runs north on Ventura Road from Doris Avenue to Gonzales Road
• East on Gonzales Road to C Street
• North on C Street to Citrus Grove Lane
• East on Citrus Grove Lane to the Road to North Oxnard Boulevard frontage road
• North along North Oxnard Boulevard frontage road
• Crosses Oxnard Boulevard to Stanford Road
• East on Stanford Road to Stanford Avenue
• North on Stanford Avenue to Vanderbilt Drive
